Internship Program at TFAA
Here’s an exciting opportunity to get involved with one of Houston’s most unique, cultural focused charity organizations.
We are seeking interns to assist TFAA in non-profit activities. The commitment would be for a minimum 6 months period from the start date which is flexible.
TFAA is a non-profit organization focused on bridging cultures and communities through art and education. We promote the exchange of art, culture and education between diverse communities in both Texas and France. We do this by originating and supporting programs, activities, events, and performances of all artistic types.
TFAA provides either funding, administrative, and/or organization support for selected activities that meet our mission.
Intern duties and responsibilities:
- Support and report to the administrative efforts of our Executive & Program Director.
- Tasks might include: typing and sending correspondence and other communication materials to members and prospective members; preparing documents for internal and external presentations; manage the website (no programming skills required) and social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.); writing and sending newsletters to our contact lists; communication with TFAA business partners, which include most of the major art institutions in Houston and the French Consulate Office; attending Development (fundraising) and Programming Committee Meetings (recommended but not obligatory); general support of the varied activities related to TFAA supported events; public relations support and grant writing.
Hours: full-time or part-time
Languages: The individual will need to have some French background, preferably fluent (native speaker would be even better).
Location of work: primarily at the French Consulate office located at 777 Post Oak Blvd, Suite 600, Houston 77056, however, some work could be conducted outside of the office.
