Kudos to the Texan-French Alliance for the Arts for the beautifully conceived first-ever TFAA Art Recognition Award and Auction, whose winner was anointed at as international fête (benefitting TFAA and Project Row Houses) hosted by Devin Bordem Hiram Butler Gallery.
When a deluge forced the gathering inside, that only increased focus on the live and silent auction artworks donated by 31 Houston visualists vying for honors.
Palette: Gallerist Devin Borden and Hiram Butler, French Consul general Pierre Grandjouan and Cultural Attaché Dominique Chastres; TFAA Board President Michael Henry; Honorary chair Lynn Wyatt and first place winner, artist Daniel-Kayne Edwards who's off to Paris next spring for his residency prize.
