Texan-French Alliance for the Arts

 

TFAA's New Grant Application System

TFAA is putting into practice a new grant application system.
Grants will be awarded twice a year.

 

Proposals seeking TFAA support should be submitted by:

  •   April 15 – for projects taking place June 1 – May 31 (of the following year)
  •   October 15 – for projects taking place January 1 – December 31

 

In Addition to the application, applicants must submit a one page summary containing:

  •  A description of the project
  •  What is unique/important about the project
  •  Who will benefit from the project
  •  What recognition  and/or benefits TFAA will receive
  •  The amount requested     

 

GRANT APPLICATIONS

STATEMENT

TFAA a 501 ( c ) 3 non-profit organization dedicated  to supporting the presence of art through dialogue between France and Texas. This is accomplished through the involvement of artists, both visual and performing, as well as writers, authors as part of the seasonal performances of Houston’s cultural venues.

TFAA is overseen by a Board of Directors which decides on the main goals, actions, and funding. The TFAA Programming Committee submits options and projects to its Board for approval and final decision.

TFAA accomplishes its mission with the assistance of the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France at the Houston Consulate General of France

TFAA provides funding for projects in music, theater, dance, cinema, literature, social sciences and education.

TFAA does not award grant to individual artists.


GRANT APPLICATION

The applicant must submit the following in order to be considered for a grant:

  •   name of organization
  •   name(s) of the artist(s) from France and/or from Texas
  •   name of the person in charge of the project
  •   exact project dates
  •   artistic discipline
  •   written description of the project
  •   visual materials (photographs, catalogues, videos, slides, CDRom…)
  •   biographies and/or resumes
  •   description of the institution
  •   detailed budget, with incomes and expenses, including shipping, travels, production costs, visas
