In conjunction with French Cultures Festival/Mois de la Fracophonie
Et Voilà Théâtre presents:

Le Cimetière des Elephants (The Elephants Graveyard)
A play directed by Laurence Sebeyran
In French with English surtitles
March 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19th 2011 at 8pm
“What is really terrible is not to age, but to age as an old person.” Confined to the interior of a seaside guest house, Ludivine, Chloe, Ada and Louise, spend their retirement dreaming of sunshine and rest, while trying to stop the inexorable march of time that imprisons them.
But, could their fear of the outside world be just the fear of death?
Fernande, the new comer, will rock these old ladies' cotton candy existence and upset their daily routine when she arrives at the guest house. This is a dramatic comedy full of tears and laughter, pretense and reality, truths and lies.
A Photo Exhibition
curated by Véronique Schlumberger
Opening Reception March 4th, 2011 6-9pm
March 4th to 19th, 2011
Like “Le Cimetière des Eléphants” (The Elephants Graveyard), this photo exhibition deals with aging. In the midst of our frantic urban lives, we photographers will go out and look for these retired men and women who no longer are the prisoners of time. They have all the time in the world to spend the time that taunts them. Or maybe just to kill it.
